Don't use anything waves after they put the screws to me over GTR solo, so can't comment.

I would love to have the option to have these. If they just changed from one day old, to next day new, I think I might go on a buying binge at HorNet or Audio Damage. "Comfort food" kind of a thing. Waves current next to that looked kinda 90's.

A re-skin of the plugs would put them at version 10. More money for them, more sizzle, but no steak.

Not for me. I love their plug-ins GUI and wouldn't make a change -  unless it was to do something like adding an analyzer to REQ and make the GUI bigger.
 
Sidenote... As you may have heard, the guy in charge of Apple since Jobs passing hates skeuomorphism with a passion and the latest OSX incarnations illustrate that well. Oddly enough though, Logic's plug-ins went in the exact opposite direction...

I think that Waves offer a great balance in terms of GUI.

Same here John.  I just had too many problems with the Waveshell...which, to me, is a very
silly thing.  Just let your plugins work on their own please (that's just me).

I only have 4 Waves plugins left...

They did't screw me over...but I'm dead set against WUP, and Subscriptions, and memberships and
blah blah...YMMV

Now to me, these interfaces would be fine IF I could select the Colors I used..I'd
be quite content to use them.  But I'm also ok with the current Waves UI's...

Gonna sell my Waves too, Lar.
IK and Slate will do nicely.
Also liking that new Logic Comp GUI.
