Hi Bub,

 I know you like a lot of the older classic tunes and from that vantage point the first mix sounds fit for that time period. Probably comes through well on most consumer systems if you want that nostalgic sound. 
  I listened here on my ipod earbuds so I'm sorry not to be much help in the bass end of things. I'm sure the ears that heard it are likely spot on with regards to bass and drum ooomph.
 Great tune and example of what can be accomplished with just X2.

Interesting recording.  We were warming up the Marshall Tucker band and I switched from bass to guitar for this one.  Well, i left out the whole chorus.  I'll never know how I did that.  We were rockin' it out and didn't realize it till we were done.  Back to the bass!
