Sir Les
John
TTS-1 is GM2 compatible.

Hay John...thanks for the tid bit.
I will try that , and keep it handy, once I confirm what that is....wink.

Is this TTS-1 a AD2 drum set library..?..As I am trying the fair fax library.. (sounds are very nice so far)....and having lots problems with that and the midi files I got..( I hear a rim shot, which sounds like a metronome (should be a ride?), only one tom plays back..the other seems linked to some electronic pad in AD2, which I cannot say is correct ...as it sounds odd to my ear....and something else not right with the rides, hi hats and crashes...just trying things out, as a newbee to Sonar and AD and AD2.. I think I can get AD2 to relearn and remap (to set the right drum instrument to play, once I get the name lists of GM, GM2, GS, XG, and for me Korg, Kawai, and such....When I have these listed names and notes as reference, I can select a Drum suitable in AD2 and make it learn the mapping I want it to do, with the note being correctly mapped and played by that midi file standard ,with AD2 instruments of likeness...so the original midi file instruments of what ever format or standard all play a correctly sounding sound once done, can be saved as a selectable setup, when loading certain standard midi files....If I want to get a fast project going...as I have a lot of already full songs in midi formats...and I want a fast drum track to start out...this kind of mapping and saving for such an event could save me, and others lots of time...so things get going quickly when we got people waiting to start rocking the house....

Regards and thanks.

John
TTS-1 is a soft synth that comes with Sonar and is  GM2 compatible. It comes from Roland. It replaces the Virtual Sound Canvas. It has nothing to do with AD2. All GM/GM2 synths have drums on channel 10.

SuperG
If it's the key mapping in AD2 that's giving grief, there is always the keymap window. There is a GM mapping built-in that you can set it to.

Sir Les
Yes SuperG...that is it...mapping ..GS and XG midi in AD2....not so much GM, but that might help others and may help here one day, as these things are based upon that basic......Key tempo window eh?

I have to look into that....I am using the learn feature right now in AD2 to remap drums I believe are not correctly setup...as I poke through this new stuff ...but I still need the voice lists of the standards, so I can setup the right drums and such in AD2 to play back right......of which I am ready to post xg info, and voices/instrument list and such and link it here....Wink.

I will continue to add as I go through my midi setup,(((ON PAGE #4))) of any relevant information I tumble into... and find more info on Midi and setting it up to do all kinds of wonderful things....Hope it controls the New heavens and Earth one day!....lol.

Thanks again for the tidbits...

Always a learning of something...each and every day.

Cheers!
