Rain
Just saw this pic posted by someone living near my little home town and it reminded me of the last time I set foot on a boat.

And you know what? That still beats traveling by plane as far as I'm concerned.

The funny thing is that night before I had this weird Titanic dream. Next morning, the in-laws called and told us to meet them on the other shore. By the time we make it to the port after my shift at 6pm, there's one heck of a snowstorm in the works, and things only seem to get worst while we're at sea.

People all around were sick. It was a scary 4 hours, but it something entirely different from just sitting on a plane.

Solid ground is still the best lace to be in my book, but I'm okay with the sea. It's always been part of my life.

My wife doesn't even want to set foot on a boat, even if it's docked. I guess she does get how I feel about planes after all...

I am afraid to fly because I have seen scary shockomentaries how things can go wrong in planes. However I was a bit afraid already before seeing these tv-programs about plane crashes. On the other hand I like the exciting feeling of being in the air. Usually I prefer sea over flying also.

Personally, I prefer flying to teleportation.  Molecular deconstruction and reconstruction is inherently scary!
