The comment in the OP "We recommend you download all of your purchases and back them up so that you can continue to use them" is concerning, especially if truly sold to Apple (and definitely something to do). MS has gone to the extremes of buying software and then not allowing older versions to be run because they scripted that into their OS to disallow previous versions (Visio being a prime example). I do not own Alchemy, but for those that do, definitely download your files before July.

Funny thing is that I haven't seen a single thread about it on Logic Pro Help forums... Even though it'd be a positive news for me, I honestly wish for you guys that it's just a rumour.

I went through this when they acquired Logic and I know how it feels. And in terms of plug-ins, I think that everybody wins in having them cross-platform.

I was referring to the rumoured sale, though people are aware that Camel is no more.

Same on Logic Pro Expert, which is where I first read the news. Nothing about a possible acquisition.

people are assuming what happens next, with no evidence. sure an NDA might be in place with whoever they are dealing with.. it's roughly 1 month before you declare the VAT on a company in the UK ?

I got to check my installs work anyway and backup , to have the rug pulled under your feet after having it a year and spending very nearly £600.. is rather "annoying" .. if I had known this was going to happen , I might have thought about buying it more. I've had this stuff with audio companies too many times and it got tiresome
