Hi Mark , thanks for explaining. I find it really annoying that you can play with almost no latency when in standalone mode with guitar rig or Amplitube, but when you use it in Sonar as a vst there is just a little to much latency to feel comfortable. Your method does cure this, interesting.

Greetings, Rik

Bravo, excellent work.  Loved it.  Sounded good on all points, and excellent fretwork.  It's a fine example of why I love guitar music.

Holy $!%#

This is great!  I think Vai himself would be impressed!  Very pro sounding mix too!

Janet - Thank you for the comment,  I have been doing a number of covers to work on my mixing skills ( I know what they should sound like) and decided to do this one.  My next project is a guitar instrumental of Mr. Sandman or Sleepwalk, haven't decided which one to do yet.

Daryl-I'm with you, I will take guitar music over today's techno-pop any day.  Guess I'm showing my age;)  Thanks for the comment.

Black_Haus-I hope Vai would approve.   I doubt he would be too scared off by the playing but he might find the different arrangement interesting.  I am so glad to hear you thought the mix was good, I have been working on mixing for years and have just recently gotten to a point where I think my projects sound OK.  I have been a fan of many of the contributors to the Songs Forum and the Cakewalk Forums overall have been a huge wealth of information.  Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

Regards

Your years of diligence definitely show on this track.  Seems like recording, mixing & playing an instrument for that matter are a constant learning experience.  I suppose that's what keeps it interesting.  Enjoyed this one a lot!

Wish my mixes sounded this good.  All the instruments sit very nicely. Great job!  The playing is great too!

Hell of a guitar player you are, Mark. Tone is fantastic for Sim Amp. I find when I record directly from my POD it sounds so much fatter compared to FX-binning a clean recorded signal with POD Farm. But since I have to cheat and cut and paste my guitar leads, sometimes I got no choice!
