REmatrix is the next generation of convolution reverbs, designed for music applications.
REmatrix combines 5 individual IRs to create dense, complex and unique spaces.
The reverb is then processed with an effect chain designed to add liveliness, create warmth or even completely reshape decay, and create a reverb character that cannot be obtained with any other tool.

Watch this video to see REmatrix in action:

  • Multi-layer convolution with five IR matrix
  • Master section with Algorithmic Reverb, Delay, Modulation, Drive, Compressor and EQ effects
  • 250 IRs included
  • 400 presets categorized by instrument, genre and application, each created duringreal mix sessions
  • Seamless processing: The reverb is never interrupted when adjusting parameters and changing IRs
  • Factory IRs can have their durations shortened or lengthened
  • User IR can be imported
  • Full control over EQ, length, delay, and stereo field of any single IR
  • Fully automatable
  • Extremely low CPU usage
  • Zero Latency

Yeah, it looks and sounds cool, but not for that price.

Ya... Not sure what they are playing at here. That is waaaay too much for a reverb. I mean I get that it is something you haven't seen before, but I can't see it being worth the price. Particularly since it seems to be trying to hybridize convolution and algo reverb. I'm not sure how useful that is. Usually you'd want an IR because you want to mimic a specific sound. If you wanted something you could shape, well you'd use an algo verb.

Maybe it is completely amazeballs, but I kinda doubt it.

I think I'm going to wait for the "nobody bought it at the price so let's panic and slash the price to wha tit should have been in the first place" sale

Yep.

I find it interesting that the forum filter did not flag your typo there but flags a bunch of other things used innocently.  Very sus-picious.

Maybe Overloud thinks it's in the same league as Altiverb, and are pricing it accordingly.  That's a lofty goal -- will be interesting to see how it matches up.

Another competitive product, at a lower price, is HOFA's IQ-Reverb.  Also convo-based but has lots of advanced features.

And don't forget the ongoing improvements in algo verbs -- Acon Verberate is fantastic, and for the budget-minded there are major updates to Valhalla coming any day now.  Good times for verb fiends, er, fans.

Cheers,
Eddie

P.S.  I tried to put links in here but for some reason I couldn't.  Google 'em!
