My sincere condolences to you and your family.  I recently lost my Dad to cancer and can at least relate to the loss of someone close to all that the disease takes one through.  I will close by simply saying take some solace in the silence for all music comes at first from a place where sound is not heard but felt first.

My condolences, Dave.   I can only hope that having 38 years with your best friend and soul mate will get you through this immediate period, and leaves you with the best memories to last for years to come.
