Have you tried it Mike?
More importantly, do you find the work in the thesis to be accurate?

I haven't tried it, but I enjoyed reading about it.

I am normally put off by the idea of make believe "tube modeling dsp", and would rather just see something described as "dsp", but I thought I'd pass along this link because this is one of the few times, apart from electrical engineering discussions, where I have seen a person substantiate the ideas and thoughts about how to model a tube circuit and I thought others might find it interesting as well.

Gotcha. I enjoyed the read - without any engineering background, I was able to understand the reasoning behind why the theories involved would/should produce a decent representation. Thanks for the find.

A tube is just a make believe "analog modeled dsp".

I wish I read German better than I do. The webpage description isn't very deep. It reads like a basic primer for tube gain stage design, and doesn't really get in to the details.

I read German almost as well as I read English.

Unfortunately I don't understand a word of what I'm reading   (in German..)

The basic concept described in the English version is good enough to understand what he's trying to do, but a little more detail on why might have been nice.
