I miss tubes and the warmth they provide.
 
If I had more of them I could probably make do with one less space heater. Actually, what I really miss is summer. I need a summer emulator.

A lot of my solid state preamps run pretty hot too.

I just finally gave this thing a whirl, downloaded it back when the original post was made, just been going through and throwing out some of the stuff I download for no apparent reason, but I'll keep this, I quite like it, I usually use Studio Devil VTP if I want something like this, also

Hey - THANKS for posting this, now that I know my ART Tube pre-amp isn't.

to tell you the truth , I don't know CWAP   about all the fancy talk or how to read a circuit …let alone read German 
one thing i do know is , on this plug , all the circles w a line and number underneath them means they can be adjusted to change the sound

I can't get it to work with X3 and windows 8.1.
I copied the 64 bit dll to my 64 bit vst folder then opened Sonar and did a manual vst scan.
It gets stuck at the blue VST Scan window: "Scanning TubePreamp-64 v2.0.1.dll...".

You can try downloading it again just in case your current copy of the file isn't 100%.

I was having the same issue.
I tried using the 32-bit version and that worked.
At one point the 64-bit version worked if I had both the 32 and 64-bit dll in the VST folder.
But, that quit working too.
So, I just gave up.
