Another no brained I have never found a use for is the Rob Paping delay.
I'd forgotten about that one. A perfect example of a plugin that
looks like it should be useful, but isn't.
I'll add a couple recent inductees into the ho-hum club: the VKFX chorus and delay plugins I got for filling out the CW questionnaire. I keep trying to use them, but every time they end up being replaced by better alternatives.
Then there was the Plug 'n Mix offer: like them on Facebook and get a free plugin. I got their transient shaper (TransControl). I hear some of their other products are great, but this one's a stinker.
On a more positive note, I think you'd have to include ValhallaRoom in the category of cheap plugs that have more than earned their keep. Fifty bucks for a reverb that sounds almost as good as a $4000 PCM-96. That still feels like finding a sack of money on the side of the road.
