Here's a song I wrote a while back and re-tracked after upgrading my piano environment.  It's a slower piece that I'm kind of looking to add either a Cello or a Flute (No midi or sampled instruments).

Any unique suggestions or ideas or comments would be greatly helpful.

I've been busy remixing a bunch of songs lately so this thing slipped down the page awhile before I saw it.  I'm glad I finally did.  It's beautiful, as I expected.  Very very nice.  I can't wait to hear it with a cello or flute (or both).  How nice to have real ones available. :-)  I like the 'big' section in the middle--nice contrast.

I'm guessing you're playing a real piano and mic'ing it?  Whatever--it's gorgeous!!

From "Dissection Black Metal" last song I listened to this.  Man It's like hitting a wall!!  Janet has graced us with her piano excellence for a long time and you, my friend, are treating us now.  I will be a baby and say the beauty of this tune has me with a tear in my eye!  THANKS!!!  If someone asked me what is a good moment for me in my life I would say listening to a beautiful piece like this.

Sounds great as is. An upright bass and jazz drums
would sound great with this too. or

     Classical guitar
     Acoustic guitar
    sax
Brass section    Think of "blood sweat and tears")
    female voc background fills
    upright bass without drums.

Any one or combination of the above is about all I
can think of if your looking for thoughts on instrumentation.
It carries itself well as is too so either way its a great piece.

Sounds great!

I'm adding muted trumpet to Jimmys list for possible extra instruments.

Thanks Janet.

I always enjoy a good piano number and I've enjoyed many of your wonderful piano songs on here the last couple years......yeah, at first I was kinda wondering if that contrast in the middle might be too much....but i think it worked out ok....glad to hear you liked it....

So...you did play this live, right?

If so, you're outta my league.  But I'm glad you enjoy some of mine anyway. :-)

Kringle - Thanks for the listen.  Very interesting flutes that you make - they sound really nice.

Warren - Yeah - that's a major transition after listening to the metal.  Thanks for the great comments.....glad you enjoyed it.

Jimmy - Those are great options for me to think about.  I've got a future one I'm working on which that idea of an upright and jazz drums sounds like an appealing idea.

Mountainman - That muted trumpet idea is also good.  Seems like I'm getting good ideas for the future.  Thanks.
