Very nice! Very interesting arrangement and it is so refreshing.  Yeah like Peter Gabriel/Genesis.  However the ending does not seem to fit.  Anyways loved it!

GREAT piece!  Love the flow of the percussion work playing with the bass line. I agree with the others on the Peter Gabriel vibe. The guitar tones also add a Police/ Andy Summers overtone.  Your vocals add warmth and the harmonies are smooth.  Looking forward to hearing your next piece.

It's not very often that I like something a lot on the first listening but this is one of those songs.
At first I thought it was some kind of latin dance thing and then the vox came in and my whole perception changed...I thought wait a minute, this is either early Genesis or Peter Gabriel...not just the feel but the quality of the voice...damn!
Then at about 01:00 it takes a half time feel....and I thought oh hell yeah!  I love the sparse bass line...the elec. guitar in the ride is real right? I mean it's not something I might have is it?
I thought the ending was pretty weird and out of context but I've thought the same about a lot of genius works.
Overall I'd pay a buck for a hi-quality recording...very nice and creative Lynn!

EDIT: oops I was writing my comments as I listened and had posted this prior to reading all the other posts so it looks like I'm not the only one that thinks Gabriel/Genesis qualities (I would take all those references as a huge compliment)...again, very nice and please PM me when you release the CD

Mike, thank you for having a listen and replying.  The vocal has been addressed but not posted.  Check back in a week or so.

Guitarpima, it's good to hear from you.  Thanks about the bass.  I actually wrote this song around the bass track.  As for the strings, I tried legato first, but it sounded less natural to my ears than the way I went.  But, I think more experimentation in this area is justified.  Thanks for your time.

Rikkie, that means a lot coming from you.

Vicente, thank you for coming by.  I really had something of a dilemma with the ending, and I tried out several variations before going with this.  Sometimes it's just a crapshoot.  Again, thank you so much for you comments, and if I think of something better, I'll let you know.

Kev, you truly flatter me.  I had Peter in the back of my mind when I recorded this, but I just simplified the guitar part as much as I could because my fingers are getting stiffer all the time.  Thank you.

Randy, I've been following your music for some time on these various forums, and I'm glad you dropped in.  Thank you for your kind comments and taking the time to listen.  The guitar is just my 1975 Strat miking a Line 6 AX2-212 with a Shure 57 into a Focusrite Platinum Voicemaster.  As for the ending, I will spend some time with that in the next few days.  I just want to avoid my typical fade out.  And, to all, Peter Gabriel was a large influence on me, and I can hardly believe that I evoked him to you,  But, I am so grateful.

Excellent vocals.  Nice chord progression and melody.  It could use more guitar, but otherwise very cool tune.  Vocals could come up a tad in spots but then I like to really hear the vocals, so everone will probably not feel that way.    I wasn't all that wild about the ending.  I would like to hear it build into big ending.  This is one of my favorites of yours, there is some good writing here.   Keep singing!!  It's good!  Well done.

Daryl, thanks for having a listen.  I've been rethinking the ending for several days.  I know there's something better just outside my perception at the moment.  I can think of several alternatives, but nothing that shakes my core, yet.  It'll come.  Thank you for your kind comments.  If I played guitar as well as you, there would be more guitar.  At the moment it's better to play up to my strengths than weaknesses.
