Back in August I entered Telefunken's (the microphone company) "Mixdown Olympics".  Contestants could download raw tracks to 3 different songs and mix them down into the final song.  The tracks were raw with no F/X or processing whatsoever (just demonstrating their various recording mics).
 
I selected "For I Am the Moon" by the Sunshine Garcia Band...sort of an eclectic folk band, and this is VERY different for me.  After culling thru the 80 or so raw tracks, I imported 57 of them into SONAR X1 Producer Expanded to produce this tune.  No additional vocal, instrumentation, or other audio could be added to the tracks as per the rules. I used ProChannel EXTENSIVELY, as well as a few Sonar F/X.
 
So, mixed in X1, and mastered with iZoptope Ozone5, I won 1st PLACE, a GOLD M80 Microphone, with this production!!!  It was a great learning experience to compete against several hundred mix engineers, and I am continually happy with SONAR!!
