Get Things Done is kind of prog-rock to me. Cool.
What's The Point, Punk Rock, Goldfish and Life's Water song sound very Kinks like.

Nice songs.

I popped in and took a listen to "Get Things Done", I thought it was really a good piece of work both in vocals and in mix, so depends on what your expectations are?   I'd like to hear you try moving away from the vox doubling and use a mono vocal track normalized and set a combination of EQ and StudioVerb in a vocal bus and experiment with that.  You do have a consistent style now that I've listened to the subsequent 3 numbers after Get Things Done.   It sounds like you have much better monitors and software than many of us, so if you're wanting to push this style further, you got the right place here to learn how to "do more with less" - less time, effort, and frustration I can tell you from my own experience.  Hope you keep at it, you're already making a very nicely balanced mix and I enjoyed listening!

Guitahacker - Thanks very much, I couldn't work out what I was doing wrong but I'm using Chrome now. Regarding the tone, I just use my Marshall amp for most things. I'll try and get some more tunes (or a tune) finished one day.

bapu - I'm a bit of a Kinks fan although I won't pretend to know all of their songs, but I take that as a big compliment, thanks. As for prog-rock, I'm not even sure I'm familiar enough with the genre to name a band who plays that style. Yes (the band), maybe?

JD1813 - Thanks for the critical feedback. I have tried mono vocal tracking but I really dislike my voice, as I'm sure many singers do (not that I consider myself a singer!). My song "Brother" uses a mono vocal track in the verses. But I like double tracking, too, because it covers up the mistakes a little more. I only wish I were more confident in my singing ability to be able to use mono tracks. I just haven't been all that pleased with my attempts so far. I also hope that I can get a bit more balance in my mixes. I have had some (other) people tell me that my songs are a little light on the bass, and I tend to agree. But I'm still chipping away at it.

Thanks all for the positive encouragement!
