This is my first project in X2 far from done but I think Im on the right path here. This Track is bounced down at -3 db or and I have zero dynamics on this , if listening loud be careful of your volume levels..

This is only a tester for now any suggestions would be greatly appreciated , Thank John

Hey John,  I took a listen.  I like the instruments I'm hearing so far.  The old man in me tells me I need to hear a chord shift in there somewhere...to keep interest peaked.  My only other comment is that most of the song seems a little dark-  lacking lustre or sparkle a bit....until very near the end of the piece.  So is it instrument selection or EQ?  Is that the final EQ?  A little exciter or enhancer on the whole mix would probably solve that.  Then again, maybe it's just my computer speakers, but they are usually bright.

I think it evokes the image you are shooting for (a dream) fairly well.  Thanks for posting.

Thanks for listening  , there is no eqing done on the buses no limiters ect . I  agree with you 100% needs more shine .

This sounds like a good beginning to a good song.  A chord change in the middle would be welcome, and then resolve it back to the beginning riff.  However, you decide, there's lots of room to play with, and you have some good sounds going.  I'm starting to like X2 very well for mixing, and you did a good job in that regard.

whack
for that genre, there is some good stuff in here.

The chord change is good idea, its just that small bass riff plays the whole way though can get annoying and leave it very stale.

For this genre, it needs to be in your face, so some compression and definietly limiting is needed here IMO. some excitation in the higher end will help it feel more edgy and crisper.

I agree 100% . I actually have it mixed at -10db kinda low, I normally mix it for -4 to -3 db, and when I bounced this tester I left it at -10db, so to start off its not loud at all. I do have drums and bass parts to busses and I normally will compress them at that stage again which I have not done yet either..  Chord changes well I have no chords in the track . I could pitch up and down the bass parts, Well its a work in progress , Thanks for the comments .. :)
