I do like the beginning to this song, and I like that you have a vocal going in this.  It's a bit repetitive right now as it waits for a catchy chorus or hook, but there's so much potential that you shouldn't have to look far to complete this.  I'm waiting for the day when you post a song and ask how the finished version sounds.  Until then, amigo...

Yea, I agree. 

 Possibly just dropping the female vocals for some rap verses? 

 I find a good way to produce ideas from an existing section (as you have above) is to solo each instrument, add a different chord, or change the rhythm slightly of the soloed section, then bring back in one of the other instruments and see if that sparks an idea for taking the tune down a different path. 

 Also the sub-kick seems to dominate the bass frequency, its hard to actually hear the bass line.
