This looks like a pretty good deal Mesh, especially if you dig metal since the JTV89 is made for metal among other things.I have the JTV 69 and I mostly use it the same way Mod Bod does. Did a video and a podcast on the 69 awhile back.

In the podcast about halfway through I play some of the sounds in the guitar. Nothing fancy, just to get an idea of how the sounds sound. I love it for getting a different variety of sounds. Line 6 has made improvements to the JTV 89 with the JTV89F and it is a lot better than the first JTV89 was. If I had it to do over again I would probably get the JTV59 because it's the closest to a Gibson in feel.
I wouldn't replace my other guitars with it totally, but I won't be selling mine any time soon either. I like it for what it does.

Here is a vid ( one channel didn't record) showing the software that comes with it.

When I play mine I feel like I'm cruising in a 1960s station wagon.
