I do not care if it is free, I just want it to work well and I want to access it on my PC and iPhone. Secure is good, I don't want to be loaded with spam but I DO want to get email from Amazon, EBAY, and others. Comcast has become stupidly aggressive with their spam blocking and it is a pain to get it fixed.
Not to mention someone took over my EBAY account on the 6th while I was gone. I got it back but they could not get any emails to me through Comcast. I was getting daily updates until the 6th when someone and unusedblahblah@yahoo.com stole me account. I spent most of today resetting passwords just in case. What a pain! I got an iPhone APP to store my PWs so I don't forget them, easy ones areno longer good enough... anyway... any good email clients? I have a Gmail and a Hotmail but I'm wondering if one with a small fee might be better... IDK.

Thanks,

Juien

I use Gmail and it's rock solid. I also have my business email linked to it so it's my regular business address (ie me@mysite.com) but accessed through the Gmail interface, which in my opinion is the best email interface out there. I've had rock solid reliability for 10 years now, not a single problem.

Here is a review on some services:

I use gmail which is pretty good imo.

No issue with Hotmail. In fact, it does a pretty good job at filtering spam, though it does sometimes put good mail in the junk folder - but it's rather rare and you can always retrieve them and identify them as trusted senders. Amazon, eBay and all the rest are delivered just fine.

I also have a Yahoo which I almost never use and a Gmail which works fine but I am not really fond of Google. Anyway, my Hotmail has been my main address for over a decade now and I can't be bothered to change.

I was going to recommend gmail but not sure if I'm liking the new google+ looking version of the app version. With that said, it is rock solid and works well with various email clients and servers if you want to use to view other email addresses.  It manages multiple email addresses with a simple switch dropdown tab that works well across platforms. I too have hotmail and yahoo, but gmail is the only one i use any of the actual features.

Thanks, I've had a Hotmail account since the 90s. I had a Gmail but somehow someone got it too. it was the same [link=mailto:me@gmail]me@gmail[/link] like the [link=mailto:me@Comcast]me@Comcast[/link]. I now have a different gmail. I guess I will try using Hotmail for a while since it is already set up. I don't get as much spam there as I use to but it does put it in the junk mail/spam folder.

Thanks and I'll take a look at those other two. What I can't figure out is how someone took over my Ebay account. Ebay said that they probably got into my email but how they got the PWs, I don't know. They (thieves) don't seem to know that "you reap what you sow", "what goes around comes around" "instant karma will get you", perhaps they will learn before it destroys their life.

I'll be in and out for the rest of the year, trying to settle an estate with my sister.
