I guess I'll go ahead and list SONAR X as a "maybe"?

Maybe someone will try to add a FX to the FX bin while recording on the same track and report back.

That's a negative.

Could do it while playing.

Here's a thought McQ. Some FXs introduce latencey. Would you want to add that while in the midst of recording?

So now you have to stop and think "is this plug going to get me out of sync?" before adding it to your track while recording.

That's a buzz kill, no?

Major buzz kill.

The thing is I was already singing, I reached down and added the effects, before I thought that I couldn't. That was pretty cool. Setting up parameters is something I can do in my sleep, so it just sort of worked out fine. I grabbed the idea and I had in my head and got it recorded, and if I added any latency on that one track it was worth it.

I was surprised it worked.

I meant noticeable latency. When in play mode in X3e some plugs when added will get the track out of sync. Buzz Kill.

Yeah, when I add a plugin to SONAR 8.5 when I am playing back I get this thing that sounds like a "gap".

What I did today, while recording, didn't make any sort of interruption that I could hear.

mike asking a question to get a load of "sonar head nodders" is a bit weak.. I use a few things beside sonar, I can point out weak area's in all 4 things. you are a tad biased, or haven't used rival products ?

I think Mike was saying he thought SONAR doesn't do this. But it does. Not a feature I'd use, though.
