My VCC is not broken. AFAIK it's the AEXEX verison that's broken. I ent no iTool user.

The Revival plug comes with the VMR so there's no need to wait on the AAX version of the VCC . Another thing is that I find virtual mix racks like the pro channel not as handy as others seem to. Waves has got their version as well.

I like to be able to look globally at a mixer view and see which tracks have a compressor or a type of eq on them without having to open up virtual rack.

Well then, if you only use the Revival plug in VMR you know what's on the track.

So Dave, you must not be a fan of the Pro Channel either?

That's what I'm thinking.   Yes, I'm not a big fan of the Pro Channel.  I like the FX bin because I can see all the plugs in play.  I wish that the FX bin in the mixer could be made larger so that more plugins could be visible.

I like to see all my inserts and sends at one glance too.

I've been warming up too Cubase lately because I like the extra tools it has for starting a project with Song Key definitions and tempo mapping. When it's time to mix I am reminded that the inserts and sends are hidden from the arranging window and I think about how there is no 2014+ DAW that just becomes transparent and lets me work without thinking about the fact that it's in my way.

I moved a project from Cubase 7.5 to PT 11 yesterday and was instantly appreciative of the ability to see the inserts and sends at one glance.

That's the one huge thing I like about PT as well. It's not enough to even consider switching, but I do like it.

Dan

I like Logic's dynamic mixer - changes as you add effects and busses. And also lets you see compression and EQ at a glance. A screenshot I found on the web (mine wouldn't have icons turned on). Only one buss active but the view is adjusted to show more as you add more.

Even the Pro Tools mixer seems a bit rigid by comparison, though I'm really getting to like PT.
