As compared to what you get with the core program? The core midi patterns are nice but don't seem like a lot of quantity. Unlike the drum packs, chord progressions and comping patterns are much more recognizable and would seem more choices would be helpful. Yes. I realize you can creat your own but a variety of starting points would be nice

Yes, the midi packs offer much more variety (BPM's, patterns, styles, intro's, outro's etc...). The core midi patterns that come with the program are just smaller samples of the full midi pack.

I'm hoping these midi packs would be on sale soon.....at 50% off, I'd stock up on at least a few other styles (blues, gospel, etc...).

I just got the Latin pack and it has a bunch of different styles/rhythms.......you can also drag these midi files from EZ Keys into another VSTi synth to get some interesting patteren/sounds.

Any reports on these packs? Better ones? Worse ones?

Don't think the styles are limiting. The Country pack could be anything, even country. They are way more moderate than they sound. In the Jazz ones you get into those cords and phrasing that sounds, jazzy. R&B is a good one and Pop/Rock. I want the Ballads ones cuz I think at higher tempo the will be pretty versatile. The Gospel  one reminds me of Bruce Hornsby at times and that surprised me.
