Brian May talks about his guitar during a promotion of his new book.  Lots of good stuff here!

He and his dad, IIRC.
Floating trem and all, but I guess that will all be in the book.
Wood used was an old fireplace mantle or something? I think that's right.
Mazing, huh?
One of my all time favorite British guitarists.
Top five for sure. (top four IF EC is #5, have to think about that!)

I really enjoyed that, thanks for the link Craig.

For me, one of the interesting and inspiring things he said, was when asked if it was important to be technical to be a musician. His reply, that he adopts a Victorian attitude and citing examples of famous Victorians who saw no distinction between technical and scientific know how and artistic endeavour, is to me, a real encouragement to not take too much credence internally to the oft touted contradiction of trying to both create music and engineer our own recordings.

It's a must see video and possibly book read for all musicians, not just guitarists
