Trying to make sense of it all....

So if one spends two hours watching a movie on TV they are worse off, wasting time or damaging their brain cells or whatever than someone that spends two hours listening to music or watching music videos on TV or watching a movie with music in the soundtrack?

Personally I don't really care what others do, I judge whether or not it is something I care to do. I don't climb rock cliffs, jump out of planes...and I could go on and on.

Lot's of entertainment to choose from...like spending time in music forums and never offering anything in the way of music or music productions...just talk...is that wasting time? It can be so confusing I guess but that's entertainment.

The scary thing is .... they breed and they vote.

Who really has the ability to take off 22 days to sit in front of a store..... and then actually has the money to pay for the TV?  No... don't answer that question..... I'd probably break the TOS and get booted to Cakewalk jail......

As for me, I'm not that interested in anything to camp out for 22 hours let alone 22 days.  I'll pass on that.  As long as I have something that works when I turn on The Walking Dead on Sunday night..... hey I'm happy. The rest of the time.....I can do without a TV.  Left to my own devices, the TV would probably never get turned on.

My wife bought a Samsung Smart TV last year.

As a display, I dig it because we used to watch movies and series in bed on her little 13" MacBook screen.

As a "Smart TV" I hate that thing - apps are freezing when we first launch them and we constantly have to suffer through software updates.

I can't see myself browsing through channels trying to find something to watch but we do enjoy on quiet night a week just enjoying a series. These days, we're into CSI NY. Everything that's related to science and forensic.

I might have turned out an entirely different person if we had such shows on TV when I grew up - scientific investigation work is fascinating.

I know I'm jumping to conclusions here, but I have a feeling that if you're willing to spend the best part of a month camped outside in all weathers to get a deal on a TV, you must spend a godawful amount of time in front of the things. And people who spend that much time in front of a TV instead of doing more interesting things (like reading a book or researching something on the internet), in my experience aren't that fussy about what they watch. Which usually means a lot of daytime junk (reality shows, Judge Judy etc) and evening junk (reality shows).

I don't know. I saw the photo of them and I immediately heard a voice saying "I gotta watch my stories."

If they're camping out for 3 weeks because they're TV junkies...  will they suffer from withdrawal?

There's an app for that.

Geeze. Sharkey, what do you want from these women. Instead of sitting in front of the TV wasting their lives, they are camping out in the open air, getting in touch with nature, absorbing the life giving rays of the sun, communing with their fellow human beings and exposing themselves openly and unashamed to the judgement of the universal mind.

What makes you think they don't have a portable with them?
