I agree with Kenny... you need to let it breathe a bit.... to me, it seems the guitar is just "there" more like plodding along, and not really saying anything important, and that should not be the case. I have a philosophy that it's not only what you play, but what you don't play that is just as important. 

This takes listening and being objective, and analyzing the song with your heart to hear what the song is telling you should be in or not in, any given phrase of the music. 

With jazz tunes and depending on the progression and the chords and tempo used, this can be quite difficult to accomplish.... 

I like it so far.... I guess it all depends on what you feel in this, as to what happens next.  It is, as you say, a work in progress.
