Anybody found a good review of the DMG Equilibrium?

It seems kinda cool. I like the idea that the guy studied the gain-frequency interaction of lots of analog EQs because I try to practice gain-frequency interaction when I make adjustments with the EQ I use too.

I like the full time parameter read out a whole bunch. I like the spectra-graph and it's adjustments. I dig the fact that the filters choices are associated with their traditional names... that seems like a easy way to get more familiar with the implication of filter choices. There's a bunch more too.

I feel like I can connect with the developers sentiment when he writes: "For a few years, I've felt like it was time for a revolution in EQ - no more being held back by the bizarre requirement for rack-ears and photorealistic knobs. It's not photos of gear that bring vibe - it's the soul, the curves! So that's what we've built. A surfeit of functionality predicated on the curves of the greatest EQs from times past."

I figure I better see if it's been sanctified with an official review before I get too excited.

I'm waiting for an EQ that has no UI whatsoeva.

Just randomly put numbers on a grid with no X Y gradient IDs.

That's using your ears.

I'll be on the edge of my seat until we get a review of the review.

That reminds me of an iPhone app I was looking at today. :-)

iPhone whenever I need pizza.

But I do it on an Android.

Does that make me a bad person?

It depends. How much do you tip the driver?

It seemed like an informative review. When I finished reading it I realized I hadn't looked to see who wrote it. The information seemed presented in a way that didn't leave me feeling a need to know if the guy was supposed to know what he was talking about.

:-)

I'll probably read it again.
