Anybody found a good review of the
DMG Equilibrium?
It seems kinda cool. I like the idea that the guy studied the gain-frequency interaction of lots of analog EQs because I try to practice gain-frequency interaction when I make adjustments with the EQ I use too.
I like the full time parameter read out a whole bunch. I like the spectra-graph and it's adjustments. I dig the fact that the filters choices are associated with their traditional names... that seems like a easy way to get more familiar with the implication of filter choices. There's a bunch more too.
I feel like I can connect with the developers sentiment when he writes:
"For a few years, I've felt like it was time for a revolution in EQ - no more being held back by the bizarre requirement for rack-ears and photorealistic knobs. It's not photos of gear that bring vibe - it's the soul, the curves! So that's what we've built. A surfeit of functionality predicated on the curves of the greatest EQs from times past." I figure I better see if it's been sanctified with an official review before I get too excited.
