Hi All, just bought a new mic, Behringer t-47 tube mic, thought I'd better record something to test it.Palmas and cajon curtesy of beatscape. Reverb is Sonitus. Have a listen if you like :

Hey, Rik, man this sounded good.  I felt like I was sitting right in front of you.  Great work as always.  Really transitions to the recording as a real sound.  I don't know how else to say it.

Hi Warren, thanks, glad you like the sound. Apart from a bit of reverb there are no effects  or eq on this , just the "natural" sound of the guitar.

The tone of the guitar sounds so good... did you buy Uri's personal microphone?

It's very hard for me to consider a $179- tube mic being there for you like that.

Amazing.

:-)

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mike, thanks, glad you like the sound. Coming from a no-name pencil mic this is a big step up for me. Using a nice new solid wood guitar also helps. ; )

My wife and I sat and listened to the sound of your fingers with great appreciation.

Your technique lets the music do all the talking... it's sounds so well played it's almost easy to take what you are accomplishing for granted.

What more can I say? You are making it sound easy. :-)

best,
mike

You know, Mike's got a good point there...I can't even begin to imagine playing something like this...and you do indeed make it sound so easy.  And the sound keeps getting better and better with your new purchases.  Really glad you were able to buy a new guitar and mic.

And this is really really beautiful.

You should consider having someone video you playing too.  :)

Hi Mrs. & Mr. Mike, thanks again, I'm really enjoying myself playing , glad it shines through.

Hi Janet, thanks, well you start with some chords you don't know the names of and than you play some notes in some scale you don't know over that ; )  You do need a pretentious title or else people will think you're just making it up as you go along.

So now you want moving pictures as well ? What will be next, MTV ? : )

You should have chimed in on my 'chord progressions' thread in the techniques forum.  That would have been the most original answer yet (of how to find new chord progressions.)  I'll have to try that sometime.  :)

MTV?  Why not?
