I am a little underwhelmed. It looks nice but I don't see much in it that is really all that much better from Ozone 4 or 5. I do think it will do what its supposed to do rather well but as an upgrade, I don't know. Perhaps given a little more time I will look more kindly on it.

Happy with 4 myself. 5 improved the method and look of getting to the end goal but 4 is still top notch.

I am a bit baffled about a lot with Ozone 6... so much makes little sense now. I guess the coming months will reveal a better picture, but right now I would need a whole box of Raisin Bran to get any GAS back.

@cclarry, I hope you caught the vid Kenny posted in another thread for you. Good to see you back!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I have 4 and 5 and struggle to see why I should care about 6.

Now, if they'd give me an upgrade to 6 Advanced for $150, I'd be all over that. :)

5 is the end of the Ozone line for me.

I also own 4.

To me, on the basic, they are just reinventing the wheel, or to be more precise, the colour of it.

I get Ozone 6 free and I probably wont be using it.

the reverb wasn't a huge feature in 5 for me but I use it and like that it is there.

the dynamic EQ I thought was really cool and was looking forward to this new feature.  I am not paying that much for advanced to get that feature.

big bummer.  I was kinda looking forward to Ozone 6, not so much now.

The general consensus, here and elsewhere, is a big yawn for Ozone 6. Apparently, it's not just the reverb module that's been taken out; it sounds like the earlier limiter algorithms have also been removed. I haven't confirmed that, but it would be a deal-killer if true. Somebody said the gain-reduction histogram is also gone - that would certainly be a deal-killer as well.

I see it now has a facility that you can insert your own VSTs into its signal flow. Just as well...

btw I bought v5 with the promise of a free v6 (dynamic eq being the carrot) but I'm buggered if I'm forking out the extra for advanced version.
