Hello,

As I stated before, I will continue to wait this out to see what any consensus is one way or the other.  I also can see folks point of view regarding the removal of modules as it works for them.. Not (potentially) being a part of their mastering workflow. But.. when a company,  has a fairly well respected Guide published that dedicates a full chapter plus to a process that now is for whatever reason removed (Reverb).. for me gives me reason to pause and question and not upgrade at this time. Still hopeful for a turn-around. Ever the optimist.

Chapter 8:
REVERB
What’s the Goal of Reverb when Mastering?

Huh....  I've never noticed that one before.   I must look...

Right click on the meters and select "I/O Options" and check the "Automatically match effective gain" - voila!

Thanks!  Much appreciated.  I never knew this existed but it's something I will certainly use.

I bought Ozone 5, my receipt says Ozone 5, but I was given an Ozone 6 serial code. I will take it up with iZotope.

Just thought I'd chime back in with an update. Izotope customer support got back to me and took care of the situation.  The guy that responded agreed that I didn't get what I purchased, said that I did not have to surrender the Ozone 5 code, and supplied me with an Ozone 5 code!  +10,000 for iZotope customer support!  I am quite happy now! <--Can you tell?!?

But I am still having an issue with the V6's Imager.  There is no display inside the graph, just the L/R and correlation meter "dots" move around when audio is playing.  I sent iZotope a screenshot so they could troubleshoot as the guy was interested in resolving this for me.  Anyone's Imager not working right?

Yeah, it doesn't work when used as a plugin for me, but it does in standalone mode.

Glad you got the version 5 thing sorted :) it's a very good plugin, 6 isn't that bad, it has some good stuff, sounds good, it is what it is, didn't cost anything so . . . I'll probably use 5 ADV way more, but thinking of trying out some IK and waves stuff, like the idea of hand picking the various elements and mixing and matching, plus I like new toys :)

I couldn't get the imager working either, but I just had a bass track in the project so I thought maybe that was why. Please let us know if you get a solution.

I will. And yes, I tested the Imager in the stand-alone application, and it works fine.  Only the VST2 and VST3 versions have the bug.

The imager is working fine in VST 2 and 3 for me in Sonar.

I can't confirm this, but I saw on a post that the presets have been eliminated on 6. ??

Yes.  I can confirm this.  The presets are much more limited, which may or may not be a bad thing.  Here is a response from the iZotope guy on the matter:

"The presets were indeed cut down. For Ozone 6 we really wanted to focus on a great mastering workflow and tried to reflect this in the presets with a more curated list of presets applicable to mastering. Additionally we tried to label presets and provide descriptions that gave a sense of how you could expect the presets to affect your audio rather than a technical description of the types of processing used. We found that our genre-based presets were commonly used across genres and that it’s hard to create a preset that would be relevant across all songs of a genre. Users should be able to get better results quicker by instead choosing for a preset that offers an effect that they feel their song may be lacking or solves a problem they find in a mix."

Overall, I am OK with the limitation, and it makes sense what they did.  It forces me to listen and make adjustements rather than to rely on presets.  However, since I have 5 and 6, I can always cross-reference a preset in 5 and make adjustments in 6.
