You should be safe with any of the download sites, just make sure you're downloading JUST the DLL (Classic Chorus.DLL). If you get an executable, delete it, don't run it. AFAIK nobody's ever gone to the trouble of infecting a plugin with a virus, but there have been plenty that were wrapped in evil executables.

Here's a really good chorus. It's free and 64bit.

Thanks for the tip.  Hmmm...   got a few other plug-ins offered here as good, BUT this one is....   an executable file, but the user says it's good...    don't know why it's an executable file...  don't know what to do here now.

Some small-time developers think it makes them look big-time if they have an installer for their plugins. I wish they wouldn't.

But this particular one is safe, I've downloaded and run it myself.

I agree - keep the plugin-in as a single unit .dll and a simple copy operation is all that is needed. The install gets jiggy when the developers decide to make the VST a stub which then references another vendor developed dll. Think Waves... ugh!

Also check out the freebee from Blue Cat http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Bundle_FreewarePack/ You cant go wrong with them.  Available as 64 bit native too.

That is a really nice free bundle and it's a good chorus.

TAL has a free rendition of the chorus that was built into the Roland Juno 6 and Juno 60 synths.

Simple...can't change much. It does what it does...like the old Junos.

Works fine. I use it from time to time.
