Janet - About the reverb - I'd put some on all the instruments, and the strings would have even more to push it back in the mix.  You'd want to play around with the EQ of the reverb so that it wouldn't have too much bottom end. 

Very nice Janet.  I'm using 8.5 and I will never be able to use it to it's fullest.   Heck, I still couldn't  use 10% if Office 98  and now they got Office 2010.   That said, there are some nice EQ and compessors out there, the PSP plug ins  are very good and not expensive.  Do you use Ozone to master with?  I can't see anything in X that would compell me to go through the grief of upgrading, at least not for my simple needs.

Thank you, Daryl.  Yeah, I know now that I'll never be able to use any software to its fullest.  Heck, I'm not even that hot of a composer or piano player.  :)  Yes, I use Ozone, and am still finding my way around it.  I wouldn't have upgraded if I knew then what I know now.  I've always been excited with the upgrades until now.  Anyway, thanks again!  

Geno, the reverb has a low cut at 100.  I don't know if that's what you had in mind or not.  I can't hear the difference. 

Thanks Lynn!  I couldn't see a tab at the bottom, but for some reason I remember reading where you can change the look of the track view (and other views) with the number keys.  (where did I read that?!)  Anyway, I started messing around with those, hit 2, and voila...everything's back.  Well, at least those things.  Thank you!
