I like mojo, you may could demo them?

But if you're going for individual brass instruments, you can't beat these guys! :-)

I laughed out loud reading the lyrics, which got me a funny look from my dog, Dudley. Very witty idea. Very tasty lead licks. Horns? Really? I thought it was an accordion, thought it gave the song a zydeco feel. Well, the way the audience interprets art is not the responsibility of the artist...I think....

Hi Daryl,

Cool song! Man, your voice reminds me of Ricky Nelson. Excellent guitar work on the solo and outro... I tend to overlook song lyrics but I like your writing on this.

Great job on the mix and background vocals...

Edward - Thanks.  Well it is a basic I IV verse.

Mesh -  That's much appreciated.  Writing songs is the very best part of this game to me.  To create a song where there was none before.  (I just wish the lyrics came as easy as the music.

John -  Thank you!

Frank - Glad you like the lyrics, it was a cool concept, but not a lot of story fodder there.

Robby - Thanks I check out the links and I may give them a go.  Good price too.

Mark - Zydeco?  I knew they wern't strong trumpets but  I thought they were better than that.  Dim Pro doesn't do horns as well as it does strings.  Glad you like it.

Gary -  Thanks.  I can't seem to shake the Ricky Nelson hex.  I've always liked Ricky and I always thought it would be cool to remind people of him... but now I could do a Hendrix tune and would sound like Ricky.  It's a curse, the older I get the clearer my voice gets.  I was hoping I would develop a good grit like Chris Rea or something.. Oh well.  Hey Thank you very much.  I might be in Nashville next May sometime.  I will keep you posted.

Horns?  I was thinking Hammond Organ without the lestlie.  First listen the attack on them was a but uncomfortable, but I didn't have the same reaction on the second listen.  Good tune Daryl.  I expected it to be Cheesy, but you pulled it off.

What horns? I hear an organ. Or am I really as deaf as my wife is claiming I am...?

I thought I had listened and commented before....I know I listened ......

The organ I think is a bit to bright and forward and a bit stiff sounding.

I like the play on words that works since we all know the commercials from TV... cool idea. Of course, sweet guitar tone and good singing.... but for me.... not my favorite DC song, but well done none the less.

Glen -  Thanks for the listen.  There is organ on their and maybe its  EQ'd too close to the trumpets.  I hear trumpets, but I would like them a little stronger, looking at some new brass synths.

Herb - Thank you.  Actually the song has nothing to do with the TV advertised software, but it is a play on the REAL Rosetta Stone. (Found in Memphis Egypt and has become synonymous with any key to understanding.)  I suppose one could have made a comedic song  about the software, but it just struck me that Rosetta Stone could also be a girl's name.  It's not my favorite either... but then only one tune can ever be your favorite.

Easy listening, buddy.  As usual, your harmonies and guitars are great, clear, present and always just where they should be.

The King of Tone returns to the forum.

Ditch those keyboards (cheesy and way too loud) and get some better horn patches!
