I was just editing the tracks I recorded last night using the Riviera when I noticed that the silent parts of the clip weren't so silent as I thought.
 
Actually, I could hear the whole song playing back in the background at low volume. I could even hear the metronome.
 
Never occurred to me that the guitar absorbed the sound coming from the monitors and that the pick ups picked it up. Picked up the guitar and checked - indeed that's what happened.
 
I guess I should use that as a live room - capture the whole mix with the semi-hollow and feed it back into the mix for an organic sort of thing...

LOL. It's not exactly like a solid body is it?
A while back, my wife was in the room, and I sneezed. The Riviera and both acoustics started to sing. She looked at me and raised her eyebrow. I told her they do that, but it was kind of funny.
Sometimes I treat it like an acoustic, and monitor through headphones when recording.
However, if you can isolate your guitar track, you can take advantage of that semi-hollow trait.
With my Akai interface, I can send the full mix to the headphones, but send the Riv to the monitors, just loud enough to excite the strings some, and get a little chorus effect. It makes for a bit thicker sound, and you don't have to worry too much about feedback because of the center block.
