I can't believe it myself.  Thought this would never happen.

Kind regards,

Sounds like it's tailored for Samsung.

Only downside is I don't think there are many devices yet that are capable of using it.  It requires the new samsung professional audio sdk  (aka they pretty much finally integrated Jack into android).

It is because samsung made a custom sdk.  Fortunately what they did is easily copied since all they did was took the audio sdks from linux and finally ported it into their version of android. Not sure why it took so long

Ah, I wasn't sure anybody here cared about this so I didn't post it :)  It is on specific Samsung devices for the reasons already covered above.  It works as a plugin in Soundcamp too, which is pretty cool and AmpliTube LE is a "Samsung Gift" for people who buy the qualifying Samsung devices.

However, this is a first step into our guitar gear on Android and won't likely be the last.  Samsung Professional Audio SDK/architecture allowed us to bring AmpliTube to the platform but we aren't likely to stop there.

There's not much of a difference between the Amplitube Free and LE version (except for 2 FX stomp box models) and not really worth getting the LE version........seems better to add $10 and get the full version.

You'll also need to purchase an iRig HD-A or the cheaper iRig to plug this in to your smartphone.

Glad to see it heading towards the Android market......
For me, I have all my guitars by my DAW and won't be needing to use this outside my DAW environment as I already have the full version for PC. This should be very handy for travling musicians or guitarist that doesn't have a DAW close by.
