Yeh, I did a stress test. But first, they tried 7 times before getting an IV installed, gave me morphine to offset the wounds they'd inflicted. Then they kept me awake all night, drawing blood every hour or so. All the while I was not allowed anything to eat until after the stress test. That didn't happen until 2:00 PM, by which time I'd been a whole day without eating, and no sleep. I was hungry, my blood sugar was at 70 and the morphine had worn off.

Just the condition you want to be in when you step onto a treadmill. They cranked that machine up until I wasn't walking anymore, but running. After 20 minutes I still hadn't raised by heart rate high enough for the test. 133 BPM was the target, 120 BPM was all I could manage. Is it just a coincidence that's also the default tempo when you open a new SONAR project?

if that happened in the UK you'd get a myocardial perfusion scan. this would involve having a chemical stimulant (eg dobutamine) to speed up your heart and check bloodflow. free for you,of course, though may involve a wait of a few months.
i don't know in the US but in the UK the main test fro angina is: you take GTN spray when the pain comes; does it resolve? if yes- it's angina. if no - you're in AED with an MI or it's not angina!
