Hi All, found this old project on my backup hard drive, remixed it in x-1 producer. Used perfect space for reverb and the pro channel compressors and EQ. But how does this sound ? Have a listen at your own peril :

As per Wookiee's suggestion, less harsh, I hope ; )

My peril seems in tact.

Er not your usual thing.  For me, not forgetting the furriness of me hearing devices, it sounds a little harsh.  Could just be me of course.

Thanks for sharing.

I wasn't expecting this from you, but I enjoyed this very much.  You broke the mold with this.  I like the way the melody went off the beaten path by the occasional notes that were outside the expected scale.  Yet, they were perfect and fit the piece so well.  Your vision is deeper than most, and you displayed it well with this work.  Will this be all, or will there be more to this piece?  This could be the start of something big or stand on its own.

Rik,

This would be good music for a Thriller movie, it sounds harmless on the surface but you know there is something lurking just under the surface....Like Jerry Goldsmith's Basic Instinct soundtrack.    Interesting stuff.

Hi John, glad your peril is intact.  I was aiming for clarity but probably overdid it. Can't really judge that since I don't have decent speakers. Mp3 doesn't sound as nice as the wav file.

Hi Lynn, thanks, at the moment I don't have the time to follow this up, maybe some day.

Hi Mark, thanks, well I was going for a certain anticipation , not knowing what the day will bring, was hoping for something positive to happen but you never know.

wow this was a bit of a digression from your usual stuff. me likeee a lot. i'm listening on a Mac w/ earbuds so I'm not really noticing the harshness.  you should send this to Pixar Movies.  would be perfect for such a soundtrack application. nice work!

Beautiful melody lines and sounds, a bit of the melancholic mood.  I too think that would be suitable for the movie soundtrack

Nice job Rikk. Texturally brilliant. I had just had a cup of coffee after the other two I drank and so my inner tempo was at like 200 while I listened to this and I had to keep slowing myself down mentally to really listen to it. A gem of a song for a movie of a background theme.Or for a person in the mood to relax. Thumbs up.
