Thank you, all, for the kind and constructive comments. The other day, I bought Dimension LE with Garritan "Pocket" Orchestra. Admittedly, the violin sounds are much better than what I was using, but there are problems with these. The [String Section] choices, for instance, [Violin Section] has a few patches/choices:
(I need a full strings/violins section)

- Violins - Long bow doesn't keep up with the shorter notes and worse, doesn't even play them.
- Violins - Short bow keeps up with the shorter notes, but doesn't "fill out" the longer notes.
- Violins - Pizzacato only plays as "plucked" strings, very short.
- Violins - Tremolo was not much better than the original one I chose.

Does anyone have any experience with GPO strings? Hope you understand my problem. I can elaborate further if needed. Are there settings I need to change? I did go to Garritan's web site, and found a "Personal Orchestra" they call GPO. Are these the same products? Garritan Personal Orchestra sells for $150. The demos sound great, but I didn't hear anything like I am trying to do.

Thank you for any help.

Regards,
Dan

Ok, folks.
After spending $50 bucks on Dimension with Garritan Pocket Orchestra, there were no voices/programs for strings that I could use to make my piece better than what I had. Then I looked at the cakewalk store and discovered an add-in for Orchestral strings. There was a marked difference in the two: GPO vs. the Digital Sound Factory add-in.

Here are the choices in GPO for strings:

<a href="http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj626/daniellong24gmailcom/?action=view&current=GPOChpoces-Strings.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj626/daniellong24gmailcom/GPOChpoces-Strings.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

and here are my choices for DSF (Digital Sound Factory):

<a href="http://s1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj626/daniellong24gmailcom/?action=view&current=DSF-StringSection-Choices.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj626/daniellong24gmailcom/DSF-StringSection-Choices.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The choice of voice called "Marcatto" is exactly the voice I needed for strings for this piece. GPO doesn't have this choice.

The upgrade for the expansion pack of Digital Sound Factory: Orchestral Strings, costs at this time $20!

Here is the revisited piece. There are still problems. There appears to be a latency issue, whereby many voices in fast passages do not appear in sync (maybe a limitation of Music Creator itself). The strings still sound "bright". In the old version, my bassoon appeared to be in tune with the rest of the orchestra. Slightly out of tune with the new strings. (Minor Detail).
Someday soon, I will get the studio-quality sounds and the means to do this right! Still having fun with it.

The full Personal Orchestra product is miles above the Pocket Orchestra available through Cakewalk.
I don't have it,but our resident guru, Randy Bowser, has done some amazing things with it.
Your work here shows you have a good grasp of working with synths. With better samples, you can really shine.
