I believe the Led Zeppelin corporation is alive and well. It's kind of like the Beatles and Apple corp. They still collect funds and sell goods...of course I know your joking, but it is a interesting discussion.

If Page and Plant were to get sued by everyone they ripped off, the trials would last for decades!

I wonder who first used the 12-bar blues, 1-4-5 or C-Am-F-G chord progressions. If they're still alive and can afford a lawyer, they're sitting on a gold mine. I mean, You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling is just Louie, Louie slowed down, right?

And they're wasting their time going after classic rock artists. Just watch the private jets taking off from the Nashville airport to see where the real money is today. Willie Nelson's still got a few bucks left after being fleeced by the IRS.

You wouldn't have to go back to Mozart, just to 1955 or so, whenever copyright got extended to recorded music.

So a guitar part was being played by this dude that nobody cared a thing about and
LZ used a part of it, wrote and recorded a tune that made rock history and he/his family got pissed about it...now they're as screwed up as a football bat IMO but wait...now we bring the US legal system into the picture...now the whole thing is totally screwed up!..... except LZ. They'll still will have written/recorded a tune that will forever be known. Something that nobody can ever take away-nobody. I think LZ should sue them and the legal system for having to listen to their BS.
