Not really my thing, but I ignored the warning though 'cos I know by now that  a geeare tune means I'm about to hear someone who really knows what they're doing. This is no exception, though it did feel like more of a bed for vocals than an instrumental in it's own right. Maybe just me.

Sweet!  Very nice work, Gary.  No need to apologize for goin' country for me.

Way cool Mr. Gary. I was enthralled with the steel and the tune. Is the steel a new toy? The mix/production leaves me a little wanting though. You know I'm a big fan, but this just makes me want to fix it somehow:)
I don't know how off the top of my head but, I think the meeting of real infused with computer is the problem. And, that's a tough one to get over. I do love it though. Did I say that?.....:)

Scotttunes: Hi Scotty, how are you? It's great to hear from you. Thanks for checking the tune. Glad you liked it.

thomas1234567890: Hi Thomas. Thanks for listening and for the kind words. Much appreciated.

The Band19: Hi Robbie...that IS you, right? Thanks very much for listening and commenting. I'm totally flattered that I would be among your favorite forum musicians...Thanks! You should go ahead, take the plunge and get a steel guitar...but, sadly, I don't think any of us will catch up with Scotty

foxwolfen: Hi, thanks very much for the listen and the positive  comments!

theguitarplayer:
this needs some vocals to it. I kept waiting to hear then but they never came into play.
Hi John, believe me, if I started singing you would be counting the seconds until it stopped  Thanks for listening and taking the time to leave a comment. Glad you enjoyed the tune.

james1213: Hi James, how are you? Thanks so much for the tone/phrasing comments and I'll take any comparison to Knopfler any day. Also, glad you mentioned the bell sounds 'cause I was kinda wondering if they were really annoying or not. Thanks again!

notnat: Hi Frank, hope all is well with you. Thanks for checking out the tune and for the kind words. When I first started working on this, the drums, bass and electric guitars were much more aggressive. At some point I cleaned up the guitars and dialed back the drums and bass...might gone a little too far with the drums. I appreciate the tip and will definitely look into the drum volume. Thanks for the ears!

Hey Gary
Glad to see and hear your doing OK!  WOW... the arrangement on this piece is just fantastic as is the mix/performance.  I don't know why but this piece made me think of the movie "Urban Cowboy".  Your playing/vibe is as smooth as Buddy Emmons.  KUDOS!

Lynn: Hi Lynn, Thanks very much for the kind comments. Glad you liked it. I really like your latest "Just In Time", by the way.

Wookie: Hi John, Thank you! I appreciate the listen and have bumped up the kick a little...thanks for the ears! I was just listening to "Approaching Entropy"...outstanding work!

yea, I understand what you're saying. Although, to me it sounds more like 90 seconds of music stretched out into a 4 1/2 minute song...as you said, this is not your thing, so I appreciate your open-mindedness in giving it a listen. And finally...great job on your latest tune "Making History". Thanks!

philz: Hi Phil, how have you been? Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the listen and I'm glad you liked the tune.

timidi: Hi Tim. Thanks for listening and commenting. Glad you ( mostly ) liked it. If you come up with any specific suggestion please let me know...The steel isn't new, by the way, I just don't play it much anymore. There are just too many strings to tune and I'm pretty lazy...loved your take on "Tequila ( Busch lite ) Sunrise". Thanks again!

Hi Gary, that's some mighty fine steel guitar playing ! Almost sounds more Hawaïan than Country, to me at least. Good job ,Sir.

A song for the ol' homestead in certain parts of the Country. Sounds smooth and fine.
