James, thanks for your input and for stopping in.  Sorry about the drums, but I didn't want to overwhelm the synths with a heavy drum beat, especially since this wasn't meant for the dance floor, but rather, a video clip of some expert canoeing.

Starise, I appreciate your comments very much and thanks for taking the time to listen.

Nice -- lots of changes without loosing the beat.

Great stuff! Put me in a nice trance, then as it began to move to other areas around 1:20 onwards, it just became this journey :) Very visual.

Hi Lynn, well that was quite a journey, not really my cuppa but it kept my interest. I kept waiting for the Hooks but heard none. The Genre Instrumental with Hooks means there are short Vocal Passages in the song called Hooks. You may want to just call this an Instrumental.

alkie, thanks for the clarification.  I didn't know which genre this fell into, so I will move it, if possible.  Thanks for stopping by, and taking the time to respond.

Very cool Lynn! I love an instrumental that has a 'chorus' and keeps the interest right through, you achieved that perfectly here.

Nice choice of sounds too, all blending well to my ears. I agree with you about the drums, they have momentum without becoming the focus.

Interestingly, we (SMB) also had some music featured on a video about a canoe trip down the Buffalo River last year.

Hi James, thanks for stopping by and having a listen.  That Buffalo river is sure inspirational.  I didn't get out this summer because it's been too dry, and the river is down.  I'm so tired of this drought that I may have to write a song about it.

Very nice Lynn. Sounds more like Jean Michel Jarre to me than Enigma. Either way, awesome track, loved it!
