Hey, Paul,

This is really a dynamite song, buddy, and your band ROCKS!

Cool songwriting and arrangement, great playing, nice chunky guitars and bass, killer drums, and the vocals are fantastic.  The mix sounds really good too.  I'm also picking up a Maiden vibe on the guitars, along with possibly a touch of early Sabbath tone thrown in.

Great stuff, my friend!

Bob, Chaos Choir.

Thanks so much for the kind words.

Having taken on board every ones comments I have had a dabble with a remix and am about post in a moment

Having listened back to the original... I have to agree with Mike and Bapu, and I have tried really hard to put in place what those guys have said.  I'm very new to this game so every day is a school day :-)

Any how I'll update the link in post #1

very good... mix sounds fine to me... I'd do a few things differently, but it would probably not come off as well as this does... well done...

The mix sounds really good to me. Excellent execution everywhere. The track is very well polished.

This song sounds great and the mix sounds great too. I think heavier bass and kick would just muddy up the mix. I like it as it is; nice and crisp and concise.

The Maillard Reaction

It sounds real nice!!! Persoanlly, I like how it is all gelling together.

I'm gonna dare say that the vocals can come up... just a very small bit, in the chorus... just so they pop a bit.

I want you to know that I am really past my comfort zone when I make suggestions for other people's mixes... but I like this song a bunch and it seemed like you had already done the hardest part by capturing such solid performances.

So, I'm just explaining it in terms of what I may do if I was mixing.

Hows that for a cop out? :-)

all the best,
mike

Phew..... thanks Mike, seems I'm getting there.  I for one really appreciate your comments.

I've got some more band tracking to do so I'll revisit when things calm down a bit here :-)

Thanks again!

I didn't hear the first version, I guess, but this is a good tune and sounds great.
