A free 2GB sample library from Embertone, that (surprisingly) runs on the free Kontakt player. Very unusual for a freebie. Unfortunately, that means I can't run it in Kontakt 4 and I'm not sure I want to clutter my disk with an otherwise useless copy of the K5 player. But if you're running K5, you'll be able to load it there. Let me know how it sounds.

So has anyone managed to "unlock" the instruments yet? It seems like it's all a big jape to get you to visit various pages of the Embertone website. There are 4 instruments each with their own challenge to unlock. I've managed all of them except the one with the runes. The sounds I've unlocked so far are pretty nice. Just wish there wasn't such a kerfuffle to get to them. I feel like I'm a 12 year old playing some fantasy board game again.

So after a lot of dicking around I unlocked the runes puzzle. But after all that, it seems that whenever you open the library, you have to go through it all again to unlock the instruments. I'm not solving puzzles every time I open a project, sorry....so I won't be using these on a tune

Come on Embertone, I "participated" and jumped through all the hoops. Why not just keep the instruments unlocked? It's just not cricket.

EDIT: Apparently you have to save over the instrument when you've unlocked the puzzles, otherwise you have to do it all again every time. Hmmmph!

So will you share the answers?
I want to play and create, not solve puzzles...
