But seriously, its use might not necessarily find its way into the guitar body but possibly some active component of an instrument because of its unique electrical, thermal and optical properties.
For example, these guys are taking advantage of the thermal properties of the material to build "proof of principle" speakers.

The wording wasn't original and could have been applied to any new and emerging technology but for a while there, the talk was that Buckminsterfullerene was going to save the human race.
