Did they REALLY just auto-tune Aretha ? SERIOUSLY ?

That there is a windmill which can no longer be tilted at. And so it goes.

Not only was it autotuned and comped, it was done by someone too incompetent to make the tweaks transparent.
 
You'd think someone who's had hits in 5 decades would have the clout to pick her own engineering talent. Ian was being too nice. He should have named names. You know he knows who was responsible for that travesty.

I few years ago Aretha sang the National Anthem at one of the NBA finals and it was the worst version I have ever heard. Not even the worlds most skilful melodyne operator could have saved her. But... she's a sacred cow now so no, we must never say what it actually sounds like right?
