those are not ungodly prices at all.. and you can certainly pay more for speakers in that size/price combination..
 
it ALL depends on how they sound.. if they are fantastic for the price they would sell well regardless of the cosmetics

Does not mean that I am going to buy Event Opals at $15** when I can buy something else that costs less and sound just about as good.
 
Considering that people consider the JBLs new speakers to sound excellent for the price. (at 10th the price about).
 
You can also listen to this or something similar, but don't expect an electronic tuning guitar to match frequencies.
