from the new album.

figured i'd post something a bit more mellow than what i've been posting.


this was done using some basic hand percussion, and my Taylor 414, some vocals, and a couple of mics.
basic stuff.
typically, one mic on the guitar, either a ADK Hamburg, or a AT4033, pointed at the 12th fret...
run into a  A Designs Audio MP-1 mic preamp, dbx compressor, convertors.
3 guitar tracks.
2 lead vocal tracks, blended, and 2 part harmony.
bass direct thru sansamp bass di.

What's not to like?  You've given us yet another well arranged and crafted song.  Your vocals are very well performed, and your lyrics are top notch.  I have a feeling your album is going to give us all goosebumps.

i love doing the acoustic stuff...
but don't post that much of it.

i guess it's my 'zeppelin' influence, but i always loved the acoustic numbers they did, 
and recording acoustics just seems so honest, in terms of guitar voice...

I really like this alot!  Acoustics sound perfect.  Vocals are right on.  The percussion is excellent.  Sonics are perfect.  Song is really good.  Love the whole thing.  Great job.  Solo is smooth.  I like your style.  I hear some Zep and CSNY.  This would be fun to play drums to.
