Oh, by the way, your new Steely Dan parody with Bapsi, James and the CHC gang was really a blast, it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun putting it together.

Thanks again, and best wishes, my friend!

Hi, Glen,

Thank you so much for checking out the video and for your input, suggestions and comments!  Yes, LOL, my "camera person" for this first video was for the most part, a stationary tripod,  but I'm really planning on upping my game for the next attempt in the next week or two.

Thanks again for checking it out and your kind words, I truly appreciate your input and observations.

Best wishes, Glen!

Hi, Philip,

Thank you, Sir, for viewing the video, and also for your very kind words of encouragement!  I always look forward to and greatly appreciate your input on my song posts, and value your opinion highly.

Your latest song, "Swing Me Higher" with Beagle and Danny, was truly a work of art, with great performance and modern production, a pro quality mix, and your own "signature" sound.  Great stuff, my friend!

Sincere thanks and best wishes, Philip,
Bob

Nice Video Bob! I like the FX. Did you use a green screen?

Hi, Chuck,

Thanks, buddy, I really appreciate you checking it out and commenting!

Yes, sir, I actually had to use a blue screen when I was playing the green PRS guitar and a green screen when I was playing the blue 5-string bass due to chromakey color cancellation.  I recently was able to pick up some much larger screens and better lighting equipment for working on my next video for "Concrete Sky".

Thanks again, Chuck, and best wishes for your band's upcoming CD release!  Have a good one!

song has killer guitar tones, produced well, and the mix is splendid. vocals are strong. you're a way better guitar player than i will ever be so much respect there.

as for the video....hmmm.... you get an A for effort as it being your first foray into the medium and experimenting with After Effects and greenscreens etc... trust me I know what a colossal project it becomes...but I guess I'm not a huge fan of the 80s metal video genre in general.   I mean, quality wise the video is great; but the smoke, fire, hot dancing chick etc. are kinda cliche metal music iconics that have been worn thin and were given a coup de grace with 90s grunge/seattle sound. the silhouetted dancing girl also looks more like she's a cheerleader at a USC football game or at home doing her Wii aerobic workout. however if your goal was to breathe life into the 80s thing well then it is successful from that point, and i know it was a good learning experience nonetheless. i will always love a good metal song and honest effort is all that's important. plus this is just my personal tastes too so it means nothing really as far as how you should feel about your work. i just like bizarre artistic videos in the likes of Radiohead, NIN or even Marilyn Manson.

Hey, Daren,

Thanks, man, I really appreciate you checking out the video and your encouraging words!

It wasn't actually an intentional decision to try to give the video an 80's theme.  For me, it was more about putting the musical and lyrical concept of the song into a visual format, and trying to keep it interesting.  After all, LOL, what would a video for a song with the word "Fire" in the title be without some flames, right?

Thanks again, Daren, I really appreciate your input and comments.  Have a good one!

Not my type of music, but sounded good, and not to wild so as to listen to the song more than once.

My first Post here Bob, I really like your video, I thought it was really cool.  Some great guitar work, just my bag!

From a drummers perspective, I think the song needs some really cool fills to break up the sections.

"My hearts on fire...... "  see the songs in my head now :-)

I love this song the first time I heard it. Awesome vocals, you can really sing. For the video, I would put the girl is background to make it a bit more mysterious and have you perform more in the front. For the girl, I would find some more sexy shots rather than having her jumping around all the time. The message here is your desire for her.
