Now this one I like..it's quite cinematic. I could visualise someone walking the city streets late on a snowy night, coat collar turned up against the chill.

Herb..let's keep our fingers crossed! :)

Thanks Rik...boogie-woogie?  Now that would have been so perfect! :)

S. Alf--you're not really late.  And I guess you could say a number of things. :)

Thanks John!

Thanks James. I rather like it too.  I can't believe no one has mentioned that I almost ripped off the intro to 'Beth.'  I hadn't heard that song until I heard it on this forum (I know...I lived in a cave)...but it must have worked its way into my brain.  Only later did I realize it.  But with Reece's help, I changed it enough so hopefully I won't be going to jail soon. ;)

Shad...again....As soon as I uploaded it last night I realized how I could have totally calmed this down...and I really liked it that way.  I think I should always get up and walk away before I say I'm done...most good things (musically) usually happen AWAY from the DAW for me.  Oh well.  It was late and I was done.  Thanks for the idea though!

I guess I like this one just a little better than the bouncy one, but I'm glad I don't have to choose one over the other for a CD or other use.

Enjoyed this Janet... but now you've got me humming Christmas tunes in June!

It's a good arrangement - might be a bit busy in the piano backing but the best way to resolve that might be to completely separate the melody from the backing by using an oboe, flute, or violin sample right from the start rather than on the second time through (and then changing it from one to the other).

I realise it's too late for Monday now... sorry!

Thanks again Old.  Yeah, me too. :)

Yeah, like I told Shad...as soon as I uploaded it, I 'heard' it way more calm.  Oh well... Thanks for the ideas anyway. :)

I already commented on this in the other thread.

This is excellent. I liked the other one better just because it's different, but this is as good as it gets. Excellent playing. Wish I could play half as good as that.

Thanks,

Bub.

I liked this one better than the first one Janet. The melody doesn't jump out and bite you though. It seems more subdued almost balanced with the interwoven parts. I still picked the melody out pretty quickly and enjoyed the way you worked with it.

Thanks Bub and Tim.  I've got my fingers crossed...but not quitting my day job. :)

Wow Janet,
You have a great rendition here! I enjoyed it very much. I like the styling that you put on it and your playing is something to look up to.

Wow, now that's something coming from you Scott. Thank you! :) Taxi wasn't thrilled, but it was sorta fun to do.
