Hi All, whilst trying to practice my tremolo technique, or lack there of ; ),  this tune popped up. Wish I could play this better. Listen at your own peril :

very endearing and poignant. i'm assuming you're playing the arpeggios simultaneously with the tremolos, and that is extremely difficult to pull off, so my hat is off to you once again & it doesn't bother me at all in the places where you're forced to compensate for it as it will become more automatically corrected and perfected with more practice on this new song.  as it is, it is still resplendent and the tonal quality of your guitar is a most pleasing listen. well done indeed. impressed.

Sounds really nice to me.  Beautiful and soothing.  Very well done.

And what he said, cause he can say it way better than I can. :)

But you're not really playing that all at once are you??!!

Hi Daren, thanks,  this does need some work. Being self taught I figured out my own way of playing tremolo, PIMI instead of PAMI. Funny thing is I can play the longer Flamenco tremolo, PIAMI and PIMAMI but for the classical three stroke tremolo I Always end up with PIMI. P=thumb  I=index finger  M=middle finger A= ring finger

Hi Janet, thanks, and I really do play this all at once AND at the same time, see above  : )

Purple Rhapsody
This is marvellous, Rik. I'm in awe of your talent - despite the flaws that you notice yourself it sounds magnificent (I really don't notice much wrong with it at all). The actual composition is great too, there are quite a few parts that made me think "that was unexpected, I love it!"and the whole piece kept me listening.

Excuse my ignorance but is the tremolo technique the same as what's required to play something like Recuerdos De La Alhambra by Tarrega?

Cheers,
Terry.

Hi Terry, thanks, glad you like the composition.  You are right, Recuerdos de la Alhambra was  composed by Tarrega as a tremolo study. Wish I had learned to play tremolo properly before I figured out my own method ; )

Hi Paulo, thanks, I dabble : )

All at once, huh?  Wow!  Now I'm gonna have to go back and listen again!
