Ok good start, but my question is where do you want to go from here??

Thanks Ben! I posted some ideas in response to Rik's comment about there not being enough piano (or actually I think his comment was that there was too much of everything else ;-) ). Essentially there will be a change - either of pace or complexity (or both) followed by an even more 'rousing' orchestral section.

Cheers,
Terry.

since this is a work in progress there's not too much to say more than it's fantastic. the 16th note continual piano run is a gem ...the build & then transition at 1:03 to 2nd movement w/ strings and percussion is not overly dramatic at all. in fact the opposite.  very cinematic too in the way it sparks the imagination. love the sus4 resolves in the 2nd movement.

Hi,

@Boomin36Beatz - I understand what you mean and I'll certainly consider adding a bit more dynamic and octave range to the strings as the tracks developers. Thanks for listening and for your constructive comment.

@ABV - nothing to say other than it's 'fantastic'? I'll take that any day! Thanks! I thought for a short while about the sus4 resolves. Obviously the traditional way is to resolve them down to the 3rd but I thought that if I made one or two of them go up to the 5th instead it may make it sound a bit different. Most of them resolve traditionally... couldn't resist! ;-)

Cheers,
Terry.

Is it too generic? Yes
Is it a wall of sound? Yes

Is there anything wrong with that? No I love those things!

Maybe fade in the percussion and orchestra over a 20 or 30 second interval to ease the listener into it.

It's all good in the hood Terry.

I like it a lot! Am I the only one hearing audio glitches throughout though?

Hi,

Thanks for commenting!

@scottytunes - lol, as long as I'm doing something right! ;-)

@bapu - thanks! (I think)

@Ambient - glad you like it! There probably are a couple of glitches - this is just a work in progress to get a feel for what people think of it as an album opener (and setting the direction of the album too).

Thanks again,
Terry.

Really nice Terry. I like how it builds and it seems that where it ends your going to bring it back some. I look forward to hearing what you end up with.

I do have to say it does sound like other stuff though. Mostly dramatic films stuff though. I think break up the orchestra parts and make them more syncopated than what they are IMO.

Very well done!

Wow!  Very cool, a big wall of sound and I love it.  It seems that a sax or Gilmore style guitar could break it up a bit during that 2 minutes.  That's just a personal thing.  I really liked this, Terry and will go back and listen again.  I can envision that going into another section after this part that is "sweet" and then back with a vengeance.   That's what I hear, but I'm old and I hear things and see things.  LOL!
